Hi Fridberger,

The easiest way is to leverage the work that I've already done and simply provide the "compression level" input (and also chuck size) to either Simple H5Dwrite or Simple OpenCreateReplace Dataset. If you need to do something more funky, open up vi.lib\UPVI\lvhdf5\dataset.llb\Simple OpenCreateReplace Dataset (Variant).vi and have a look at how it sets up compression.

Hello,
Many thanks for creating Live HDF5! It solves a big problem for me.
I am however having troubles to make compression work. My files are typically on the order of 1.6 GB and compress fairly well with standard GZIP. However, I have troubles making this work. Is there an example of how to use the compression? I found the "Set Chunk" and "Set deflate" VIs but cannot make it work.
Thanks in advance
